Gut Maintain for Cats

My cat was having multiple episodes of very smelly diarrhea. She has been on long term antibiotics in the past due to a chronic fungal infection so it was likely due to that. Our vet recommended Flagyl (another antibiotic) which she hated, would sometimes refuse, and didn’t help much. After sprinkling a capsule of this in her dinner every day the episodes have completely stopped! She is very picky and doesn’t mind eating it mixed into her wet food. It is very expensive, but it’s the only thing that has worked for her. I think this is an amazing high quality supplement for cats who have severe, chronic, or risk for gastrointestinal issues and I’m so grateful to have found it.

This supplement has changed the lives of both of my cats, but it has especially helped my young male cat. He has seen the vet for 3 different bouts of diarrhea of an unknown cause not related to his food. This supplement has ensured that his stools are solid everyday. Also, when I give this supplement to my female cat she feels so much better that she has zoomies around the house!

For several years our male Siamese cat had terrible bouts of constipation with pitiful cries followed by dreadful smelling diarrhea. He could not control where or when the diarrhea occurred. Our excellent vet tried antibiotics and steroids without success. A cat user endoscopy with biopsy reported inflammatory bowel disease vs. lymphoma. All other tests negative. On steroids little change and after another year the symptoms persisted so it wasn't lymphoma. We started Animal Biome GMP for two months followed by three months of both. Fecal Animal Biome testing prior to rx showed abnormal levels of Clostridia. Several months later the repeat test was much better with level of bad bacteria in normal range. We were both surprised and greatly relieved at the treatment, we feared there was nothing to be done for the cat. We are continuing Gut Restore for a couple months and then considering tapering bit it and the steroids.

… but daily use resulted in constipation for my megacolon cat. Plan to use only for address diarrhea prior to seeing the vet.
