My 5 month-old kitten developed terrible watery, very smelly diarrhea. She stopped eating, so we took her to the ER (weekend) and $1800 later they found nothing, but put her on antibiotics. No improvement at all. Although she did eat a bit better. I was desperate, and then I found this site. I started her on Gut Restore and s. boulardii+fos. I haven't stopped recommending animal biome and FMT since my dog's gut issues resolved. This is not a "supplement": it's research backed science in a bottle. My dog started with a resistant hookworm infection that took 13 months to eradicate. He had gotten giardia a few times and was treated with antibiotics. While these necessary treatments tackled the parasites- they also created dysbiosis in my dog's GI tract.
His BMs were pink, jelly-like, frequent (5-6x daily) and just scary. My mind spiraled and I feared the worst! After running diagnostics and everything coming back "normal" my vet team and I were suspicious of dietary indiscretion and colitis but I really felt like there was something deeper going on.
I read several peer reviewed studies about GI health in mammals and spoke with a microbiologist who told me about FMT treatments in livestock. I dug deeper and found animal biome.
I figured that it wouldn't hurt to try and we had nothing to lose at this point. So we started a 60 day capsule treatment. We did one capsule/day because my dog was less tolerant of 2/day.
I read the research and I was very hopeful that in the first 2 weeks I would see progress. Truthfully.. the initial improvement was not significant; I reached out to the support team to ask some questions.
Every question I asked was answered! Despite my skepticism- we kept going. By day 25 my dog's BMs were consistently solid with occasional flares. By day 40.. I had never seen a more normal poop from this dog! By day 60... Everything and I mean everything was fixed.
About 3 days after treatment we did the microbiome test and it took about 2 weeks to get the results. I was disheartened at first because it still showed imbalance. (Or that's how I interpreted it). But his symptoms had only improved even after the FMT stopped!? How could this be?

My advice to you, pet parents, if your dog has constant GI issues or just finished intense treatments with antibiotics..mention this company and FMT to your vet. Lots of GP vet teams are familiar with FMT and I believe this will be at the forefront of GI treatment soon.

My golden retriever puppy had diarrhea for probably 2 months straight. The special pro biotic foods made it worse. I tried this and boom it straightened right up!! Great stuff! We only needed to do the one month for him. I'd use it again in a heartbeat. As far as the expensive - well worth it. Plus a trip to the vet would cost as much - especially when they prescribe special food.
Hope it will be cheaper ☺️
