⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Incredible Improvement in Our 16-Year-Old Cat!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about AnimalBiome and the difference their testing and Gut Rebuild supplement have made in our beloved cat, Suits.
Suits is 16½ years old and has struggled with gastrointestinal issues for a long time. Despite our efforts to help her, achieving consistently healthy, well-formed stools was a challenge.
We decided to have her gut microbiome tested through AnimalBiome, and the results were incredibly informative. The testing identified significant bacterial imbalances, including the absence of an important beneficial bacterium, P. hiranonis. For the first time, we had a much clearer picture of what might be contributing to her digestive problems.
We introduced AnimalBiome’s Gut Rebuild gradually, starting with one capsule and eventually increasing to two daily. The improvement has been remarkable!
Suits now consistently produces beautifully formed, healthy stools, something we previously struggled to achieve. Even more impressive, she has maintained this improvement while undergoing antibiotic treatment for an unrelated infection and while gradually reducing her gastrointestinal steroid medication under veterinary supervision.
The difference has been extraordinary. At 16½, Suits is happy, playful, affectionate, active, and enjoying life. Seeing her digestive health become so consistently stable has been an enormous relief.
I also appreciate the guidance and support we’ve received from the AnimalBiome team throughout this process.
For anyone caring for a cat with chronic digestive problems, I highly recommend considering AnimalBiome’s microbiome testing. It gave us valuable information and helped us take a more targeted approach to supporting Suits’ gut health.
I only wish we had discovered AnimalBiome sooner. Thank you for helping our precious girl! ❤️🐾
Hi Tracee, thanks so much for sharing Suits' experience! She looks like a very sweet girl, and we're glad to be able to play a role in keeping her poops healthy and well-formed. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can help Suits with in the future.

This is a very detailed test for a cat that is having bowel issues. My cat tested positive for clostridium at the vet, was treated and still having problems. Did this test to get recommendations on their products. She was still positive for clostridium and this test was half the price of vet office test. I can’t recommend this enough.
Months of in and out of the vets, no answers. Spent $$$$. All kind of test, ultrasounds, Tried special foods, probiotics nothing was helping with the diarrhea. Vets said just character of exotic cat. Just keep an eye on her. Then I heard of the Gut Microbiome test, I needed to find an answers. Test gave me the answer which vets could not. Ordered recommended Gut Restore and in one week I saw results. She wasn’t crying to eat all the time, diarrhea lessened and now she and I are happy. Getting ready to order prebiotic n probiotics combo to maintain. Happy family again💕
My cat has FIV, heart murmur, kidney disease, and IBD. He was losing weight, had itchy skin, dirty ears, weepy eye, loose stool, and vomiting. He was on a hydrolyzed diet for years prior to this, thinking it was a food allergy, and this helped somewhat, but when he seemed more uncomfortable I knew I needed to keep searching for the problem. One expensive vet test (sent to A&M) showed a possible gut imbalance but did not have details on what was actually going on, and the only suggestion was use fortiflora which I had already been using (to try to improve appetite). My vet had not used fecal pills before so was fine with me trying them, but did not have any experience to share about them.
I submitted two samples to Animal Biome for testing, before and after using the Animal Biome products. The first showed my cat had an overabundance of bad bacteria (e coli) and very little diversity of good bacteria (2 types took up 80%). The consultation was very helpful in deciding what to try. After 30 pills of Gut Maintain (to try to get rid of the bad bacteria), and 90 pills of Gut Restore (as well as a diet change to single protein food, and budesonide recommended by my new vet) I retested. His results showed no bad bacteria, and an improvement in diversity of good bacteria. His gut is still considered imbalanced, and they recommend more sporadic use of Gut Restore to keep him on the right track, as well as their Mushroom Blend which I have not tried yet.
Because I changed several things at once (fecal pills, diet, and steroid use) it is hard to credit Animal Biome products alone, but regardless the test shows changes.
According to their own study, some cats will respond to Gut Restore and some won't, so for me, these test results help me decide if these products had any effect. I would recommend the test if you can afford it.
2 vets would not test her stool, ONE WAS A SPECIALIST ! she has jaundice. i knew there was something wrong with her digestion. they still would not test.
the test came back, she had high e-coli, Which can cause jaundice and practically no good bacteria least i knew what was causing her jaundice... I WOULD SAY THIS IS A VERY GOOD TEST.

While I have been asked to review the gut test, I find it hard to do so without incorporating the other products. It does not stand alone. Here's the story. Over two years ago, we started fostering a cat who was very ill. For more than a year, the vet had been suggesting to the rescue that they euthanize her. When we got her, she was losing her food from both ends of her body. She would throw up and have diarrhea at the same time, and she did it many times a day. She was down to 4.5 pounds. We tried all the prescription diets the vet asked us to experiment with. It was awful. Each one had to be tried for three months (they were not the ones picking up the poop.) After the vet gave up completely, I found better non-prescription foods by myself (Stella Chewy's Freeze Dried Raw.) That helped but did not solve the problem. Then I found Animal Biome in October 2023. The report told us that Solstice was missing key bacteria found in healthy pets. 83% of her bacteria was one thing. Over the last two years, we have used Animal Biome Products to add healthy bacteria and balance it. Finally, in July 2025, her bacteria is healthy and balanced. Her poops look good and she does not throw up. She is a healthy 8-pound cat. Yes, it took a while, but we persisted and it worked. Below are before and after pictures.

My cat's story is similar to many others - chronic diarrhea, suspected IBD... Although I was working with an (expensive) internal medicine vet, nothing was working (food change, antibiotics, FortiFlora, Visbiome, hydrolyzed rx diet) and bloodwork was all normal. Throwing everything at the wall, I ordered the Animal Biome gut test, and of course, his gut was way out of balance. I think solving my kitty's problems was the combination of multiple factors: 1) understanding that the root problem was that his gut was out of whack; 2) calming inflammation down through immunosuppressants; 3) multiple rounds of various probiotics, including Animal Biome FOS; 4) change to a clean, high quality wet food. After about 8 weeks on immunosuppressants and 2 weeks on Farmina Digestion wet food products, and consistent use of probiotics, my kitty has been in the clear and med-free for 10 months. Thankful to Animal Biome for helping me understand how to support my kitty!
My cat was suffering from diarrhea the Microbiome Test was super helpful, We learned that my cat's Gut microbiome were imbalanced he has IBD ive being told with the consultation that the Gut restore and Gut Maintenace Plus will help
His stool now are more firm no more diarrhea and less trips to the bathroom .
The test was easy to do and the results report is comprehensive.
We decided to test our cat to see if microbiome imbalance was impacting her blood sugar and digestion. The test data doesn’t lie! Looking forward to trying the gut reset to see if we can control her diabetes through the gut.
The Microbiome Test was super helpful, we learned that our cat has high levels of harmful bacteria and with the consultation, were told that the Gut Maintain can help lower the harmful bacteria, so that healthy bacteria has a better chance of being established. We are hopeful that with more info he will be feeling even better.
Test showed mild gut imbalance. I tried the Gut Restore for 2 weeks for my cat. She didn't improve, and seemed even worse so I stopped it. I don't know if it needed more time or not. I am still giving her the probiotics/prebiotics. She has good days and bad days
I bought this for my cat that has chronic pancreatitis in hopes that it could shed light on maybe some other things we could do for her. Her biome came back pretty okay and we also did the follow up consultation. I was impressed that they didn't try to sell me on all of their products they just recommended the mushroom blend based on her results. She just started that this week so I can't really speak to that and I say "not sure yet" because we just started the supplement but overall so far, I think the price is okay for the testing and the consultation helps a lot - I would really recommend getting that.
I'm not so keen on the endless emails so unfortunately I think I'm going to have to unsubscribe. It would be nice if the emails were more informative than salesy.
My cat had been suffering from extreme gut imbalances for almost a year. He had soft to wstery stools and a potbelly appearance. Three different vets recommended standard probiotics (fortiflora, etc) but nothing cleared up his symptoms. This test kit finally revealed what was actually going on in his gut! The test was easy to do and the results report is comprehensive.
After spending thousands of dollars trying to get answers as to why my cat has major diarrhea, we finally know now that he has a serious imbalance in his gut. I wish we would have known about this test sooner. Could have saved us so much time and money.
This test was well worth it. My cat has been suffering with chronic vomiting for months. After having this test done, you could clearly see how out of whack her gut biome was. It was recommended she take the FMT pills. There was no way I would be able to give her pills every day, so I opted for the enema. My Vet was able to purchase directly and she administered the enema. It has been almost three weeks since the enema and she has had no vomiting for about 1.5 weeks. Im very optimistic.
I test my two cats about once a year to track their gut microbiome. The test kit has clear instructions and the gut report took less than 2 weeks to complete. I appreciate the breakdown of beneficial and harmful bacteria as well as the additional information of each. I look forward to learning and improving my pet’s health with their next tests!
My cat was diagnosed with IBD. He was vomiting daily. Once we got his vomiting under control with food, his bowel movements were getting looser. His test results showed that he didn’t have bad bacteria in his gut, just an imbalance. I’ve started him on probiotics and he has been improving!
Our vet recommended KittyBiome Gut health Test for our cat, Simon. Simon struggled with cronic diarrhea and had lost 1 1/2 lbs. We sent his sample in and the results came back within a couple weeks. The test showed us exactly what he needed to help his gut. We purchased the products from AnimalBiome. His stools are finally solid and he is gaining weight!
KittyBiome Gut Health Test pinpointed what was going on in my cat's tummy. He had occasional diarrhea that was getting worse with blood and mucus. The test showed that the bacteria responsible for digesting complex carbohydrates were elevated. I felt that he wasn't digesting carbohydrates very well, but he was getting diarrhea with foods containing vegetable oils, so I was confused and avoided foods with vegetable oils. However, he still seemed under the weather after every meal. After seeing the test results, I switched his food to meat-only cat foods. His diarrhea stopped immediately, and there was no more blood in his stool. He is back to himself and became very active again. I can't thank AnimalBiome enough because he had already been through antibiotics and prescription food, so I didn't want to take him back to the vet and risk going down the same spiral I did with my dog. He didn't need prescription food or antibiotics. He just needed foods that agreed with him.
My Maine Coon kitten had diahrea for the 1st 6 months we had her. The Bet diagnosed her with IBD and put her on prescription food. I didn’t accept that and investigated cause. Learned about the Biome and found Kitty Biome. She has been cured using this product! So thankful.
Hi, So far, so good. Being a nutritionist for people, I tried everything else you could imagine b4 this. I started the regimen about 3.5 weeks ago. The diarrhea has greatly improved. It's not 100% there all the way yet, but his stool is definitely firmer. No throwing up lately. His appetite is great. You can do all kinds of things and try modality after modality, but if the friendly bacteria is off or out of balance, nothing will really help. I'll post again as time goes on. Thank you!!!
I have three cats that have always had hairball and vomiting issues. One in particular, Basel, was really bad and after hundreds of dollars in tests and an ultrasound the vet told me that Basel PROBABLY had IBS and pancreatitis and recommended a hydrolyzed diet made by the same company of pet food that I had already been using followed by steroids. I've been through similar situations with my previous cats and knew that this course of action has never solved anything for my babies other than just temporarily relieving symptoms or masking them. Instead, I completely changed my cat's diet from my vet's recommended popular brand of kibble and wet food and moved to Smalls frozen/fresh food delivery service and some pro and prebiotic cat treats. The cats have been on this new diet for three weeks before I tried the KittyBiome test. In that 3 weeks, Basel had quit throwing up and had no hairballs. He was actually passing them in his stool like he should. The KittyBiome test came back that he has great gut health other than having a small increase of bacteria that lend themselves toward obesity. I feel so much better about Basel's health and am interested in doing the Biome test for my other cats. Yzma is FINALLY losing weight and running again after years of feeding her the recommended amount of vet-approved mainstream brand cat food. She has also quit vomiting and I suspect that her test results will be similar to Basel's. While Basel's test results were positive, I don't feel like I wasted any money at all. I feel so much better about the choices I made concerning my cats' health and know that moving forward whatever issues my cat has aren't due to an unknown gut bacteria imbalance. Plus, I actually got to see the results which is something that has never happened at the vet.
I just adopted a new cat (Catfish) and he's a little bit on the chunky side. I decided to test his microbiome to see if there was anything I could do to optimize his diet, and got some great information from the report. Be sure and schedule a phone call with them, it was great to be able to talk to a real person. Wish I didn't have to touch his poop but at least they provide gloves! And he's totally worth it.
