The probiotic in this product is a single strain of Peptacetobacter hiranonis, a keystone species in the gut microbiome of dogs. Insufficient levels of this microbe are associated with gastrointestinal issues and dysbiosis, especially following antibiotics.

Directions for Use
Give 1 sachet daily with food. If feeding kibble, wet the kibble before adding the powder and mix. For wet or raw food, simply mix the powder directly into the food.

My senior was diagnosed with IBD and I wanted to try a 90 day dose of GMP. Although, she’s not pleased about having to swallow pills she's shown improvement in the 90 days. This has helped Bella, my 10 year old red boned coon hound, who has Cushing's Disease, maintain regular poops again. She had really bad diarrhea and I tried just about everything to get her poop firm and regular but nothing really helped. We went to a new veterinarian who recommended this product, and honestly, her stool was so much better in just two scoops. I was amazed but I'm even more amazed that her stool is still great! If I'm Being Completely Honest...
If I'm being completely honest, I have to say I firmly believe that I have seen incredible results with this product on my 4.5 year old Boxer. He has had a whole host of health issues, especially gut issues, over the past 3 years and I truly see a difference with him and his overall health when he is on Gut Defender. My baby has more life, more energy, and issues with reflux are practically nonexistent! When we finished our first tub, we went several weeks off of it--and boy did I see a difference (and not for the better when he was no longer on Gut Defender).
